‘you’ are the person, company, or legal entity buying the goods from us and to whom the goods are to be invoiced and delivered to.

The ‘goods’, ‘products’ or ‘items’ are used to refer to the items which you have ordered via this website or over the phone, the goods which these terms and conditions cover.

By using this website or placing any order(s), you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions.

PRODUCTS

All Products are handmade and may vary slightly from the images shown on our website or in our marketing materials.  We make every effort to display the colours and finishes of our products accurately, but actual colours may vary due to different display settings and when viewed on different devices.

Please allow a small tolerance of a few millimetres on the exact dimensions of the item produced versus the sizes displayed on this website. We will not accept any liability for any extra costs incurred by you as a result of the product you receive not being precisely the same as the sizes in the description. Please let us know if your sizing requirements need to be accurate the millimetre.

ORDERS

Orders can be placed via our website or by email.  All orders are subject to email confirmation by Blockwood. This will include the products ordered, payment method and cost. Blockwood reserves the right to cancel any order at any time.

All items are built to order, so we generally do not carry items in stock. Lead times are based on the level of existing orders.  Smaller items usually ship in 2-4 weeks with larger and commissioned pieces usually taking 6-8 weeks to build. Please be aware that this lead time is an estimate and may vary. We will not accept liability for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by this estimate being incorrect. We will endeavour to keep in touch with you by phone or email in respect to the lead time.

RETURNS

Due to the handmade nature of our Products, we do not accept returns or exchanges unless the item is defective or damaged upon arrival.
Wood is a natural product and may vary in grain, colour, knots and other markings.
Blockwood cannot accept returns based on natural variations.
If you receive a defective or damaged item, please contact us by email at tim@blockwood.co.uk within 3 days of receipt with photographs and a description of the issue. Please do not attempt to repair any faults or damage.
Blockwood will arrange for a replacement or repair of the defective item at our discretion.
Any retuned item must be in the same condition it was in at the time of delivery.
If a refund is requested Blockwood will refund the amount paid excluding the original delivery cost and the charge for retuning the product.  If reasonable care is not taken of the products before they return to us and they are damaged in anyway, Blockwood will charge you for the reduction in value.
Any refunds made will be via the same method as the original payment.

EXPANSION & CONTRACTION
Wood is an active material which may experience dimensional changes depending upon moisture, temperature, humidity and other atmospheric conditions.  Sometimes movement can occur when the product is shipped to drier climates from where it was made.  Addressing the change in temperature and moisture usually resolves any issues.

LIABILITY

Blockwood’s liability for any claim arising out of the sale of the Products is limited to the purchase price of the Products.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with English Law.
Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English Law.

AMENDMENTS

Blockwood reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will apply to orders placed after the date of the amendment.
